So sorry for the many many wrinkles on the Gildan 5000, but it was in the laundry and I did not want to iron the dirt into it
I’ve had both since about the middle of last year, and they’ve both been used regularly.
The Gildan 5000 has a rough texture, not scratchy though. I wouldn’t call it soft, but it is pleasantly flexible, sits loosely and comfortably and follows every movement well.
The cut is slightly flared towards the bottom, the sleeves are wide and directed to the side.
It shrinks a little in length, but the width stays pretty much the same.
On a white shirt the colors fade very much at first, on black they fade just minimal. The white shirt is a warm-white color.
I did not test sleeve print on it by now.
Slight pilling from beginn on, a bit more in the arm area.
The STTU is woven much finer and more evenly, and it falls smoother and more elegantly. It is a bit firmer, but not stiff.
The cut is very straight, so depending on the shirt size and the stature, it can “sit” a little on the hips and then hang loosely around the middle. The sleeves are cut a little narrower. For sporting activities not my first choice, because the cut of the sleeves is slightly downward, and the neckline rises slightly when you raise your arms. Think of it like when you say you´re wearing your good shirt today it is this one
It feels comfortable, and it looks and feels high quality. Definitely suitable for semi-formal occasions.
It holds shape extremly well, and the print on white does fade only minimal. It is the whitest white shirt I´ve ever seen, very clean and a slightly cool white.
I would not recommend doing sleeve prints on other than white, because there is too much movement and stretching going on there and the pre-base will tear and peel of very fast. It started with the first washing.
No pilling by now.

Gildan 5000 – I was frightened to use the 5000 for a design with fine details, because of it´s rough texture. So I tested a halftone design on it, and it came out great
Btw I used #ffffff for the white text, and it is super crisp and saturated. The only downer is the lightened/discolored rectangle where the printing plate was, but that seems to be a problem of the provider. I washed the shirt and it´s still visible in wet condition, I don´t have the hope it will disappear when dry
But I´ll see it tomorrow.

I love the great print quality itself and the fast production and shipping, but howewer I will not order from them again. The prints on the white shirts fade tremendous very fast, and I had two black shirts from them and both had the lightened/discolored rectangle where the printing plate was. (I have also a white Gildan 64000 from them which faded equally, but I have no before-picture from it.) Too sad, the prints themself are great und very accurate with details, but that´s useless if they don´t hold up
Washed inside out 30 C, no fabric softener, hang dry.

Spiral Journal (EU) printed by OPT OnDemand:
• Sent to production – 2 September 2024
• Shipped – 3 September 2024
• Received – 20 September 2024
Came in a very well protected cardboard packaging, the journals were in perfect condition even with the long journey they had to make it to me
I’m very pleased with the print quality – the designs are exactly like I see them on Printify.
The journals are smaller than I expected but also I didn’t check the sizing so I can only blame myself for that but other than that the journal feels very high quality and I definitely will create more of them for my Etsy shop!

OPT on Demand in the Czech Republic, Gildan 64000 softstyle.
This is a product for one of the popup shops I run for one of my husband’s archery groups. I just ran into someone who had recently bought one and snapped some quick pictures because I was so impressed with the print. Solid white doesn’t always print great on black, but this is so crisp and clean! The first picture is a pocket area print, so those fine lines are super small. My camera actually had trouble focusing so close up, so if the edges look blurry that’s just the camera. If you’re looking for a good European provider, look no further!
