Custom Cut Acrylic Ornament from Chill
I have these in my Etsy shop with no mockup so I had to try one out and I’m very happy with it! These are the ones from the US and it was processed and delivered in 9 days.
It was shipped in a bubble mailer with a red ribbon. There were a few scuffs marks on the Acrylic but I think only I would notice it. The colors match my image well besides the pink and the print feels really good on the back of the acrylic. My toddler even tested out it’s durability and it held up

I actually already ordered samples of these and was happy enough with them that I ordered more to have at an event this Saturday. The print quality is fine, just could be a little better IMO.
I also got the other custom cut acrylic ornaments from Printdoors (China) to compare. I’ll try and post a review in the next day or two, but spoiler: I like those better than the ones from Chill (but they’re both products I’d put in my shop).

Ordered October 11th, shipped the 15th, and arrived the 24th.
Overall, the ornament is very nice and feels pretty decent. It doesn’t feel cheap but it’s not high-end either.
The designs are grainy, and I believe that has to do with the printing material. The print backing has a grainy texture to it, which is why I suspect the design is also grainy. It’s printed on one side so you can see it on both sides, (albeit one side is flipped) so just a heads up for text designs.
I would probably offer this as a custom ornament with a customer’s photo, like for a custom dog or cat ornament. Base cost with Printify Premium is $3.99 and shipping was also fairly low. I would feel comfortable selling these at $12 for custom ornaments with $5 shipping.
All in all, I’m not disappointed! The grainy print is a little upsetting, but it really doesn’t affect my overall impression. I will note the acrylic feels like it could break if it’s stepped on, but it does have a good weight.
They arrived in a padded yellow envelope with the ribbons in the package, not tied.

Tldr: Cool concept, poor execution
I ordered 2 ornaments: a photo and artwork. The images are printed on the “back side” so if you are including text, it will only be able to be read from one side. I used the entire print area when creating these and they do measure slightly over 3″ across the longest points of the ornament.
Pros: The shipping label had my business info for the return address. Each ornament comes with a red ribbon to hang it which is strung through the hole upon delivery. Love this because IYP doesn’t do this for the ceramic ornaments and I have had some mention it.
Cons: The print quality is TERRIBLE. It’s super grainy and more noticeable on the artwork which is a solid color vs the photo with natural color variation. I included a photo of the small corner of the artwork ornament. There is also some residual ink? Maybe glue? Not sure what it is but I tried to scratch it off with my nail and it didn’t work. While I appreciated the more detailed cut out, some spots are kind of jagged and don’t give a professional appearance.

Nice heavy glass but was only packed in one layer of bubble wrap and stuck in a single box. Packaging could definitely be improved since it’s glass.
The colors were bright and image was glossy. BUT there was bleeding around the design. Maybe a simpler design would have done better. But there was also bleeding around the font too. So not sure.
I would try again with a simple design before ruling it out.
Just received my order of these two sipper glasses. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed. I have ordered many of these types of glasses from other sellers on Etsy in the past and they were always gorgeous. The quality of these are pretty bad. The white underlay of the print shows through and the art looks grainy. It isn’t aligned correctly. And a lid from one of the glasses is broken. It’s very sharp. I am shocked this made it through to ship with the lid like this.
On a positive, the Printify customer service is AMAZING and are offering a reprint. But I am nervous that this is always how they will print and I am sad that these glasses might not work in my shop. Has anyone had experience with them? I would love your thoughts or some positive photos of them. I had such high hopes for them.
