PRODUCT REVIEW of Black Ceramic Mug
ITEM from my store: Religious Black Coffee Mug – Sacred Heart of Jesus Prayer, 15 oz
VENDORS: Generic brand, Fulfilled by District Photo vendor
TIMELINE: Exceptional. 8 days from start to finish (customer).
Order placed: Jun 05 12:33 PM
    Produced: Jun 10 4:40 AM
    Shipped Jun 10 4:40 PM
    Delivered Jun 13 2:45 PM
SHIPPING MATERIAL: 5 of 5. Wrap-around styrofoam, thick box. Opend up easily with knife around center. Mug tightly placed inside; there is NO way it could be damaged. Great job, guys! Makes me feel confident that mugs from this vendor will get to customers in one piece; and packaging looks professional grade, to me.
QUALITY: 5 of 5. Beautiful glossy finish, all-over. Even application of finish all around mug. Feels solid; handle feels functional, too. Colors are bright, accurately printed and look like AI; even better in peson due to gloss factor. I chose to make this original image in “old fashined” manner with a warm filter. Colors appear spot on from AI image. My original image is high resolution, 331 DPI, and was duplicated twice so three identical images are around mug.
BILLING: Good price for a 15 oz. mug. Ordered as sample.
    Order retail value: USD 17.88
    Production costs: USD 8.94
    Shipping (Standard): USD 6.09
    Total costs: USD 15.03
WILL I ORDER AGAIN? Definitely! I have dozens of mugs created with this company, and will be proud to sell them to customers. Am confident this item, no matter what image, will be a best seller.
ONE WISH I wish that the “Made in China” sticker, in white on bottom of mug, could be removed before the customer gets the item; but know that is too much to ask. Perhaps later we could see if that could be a wish come true for this and other products?

District Photo 30 piece puzzle. I made this for a neighbors son for his bday so I don’t want to open the bag but I’ll ask my neighbor for feedback and report back! It looks cute, pic on the box is applied nicely and the pieces look to be well cut and shiny.
I ordered on March 28 and it arrived today, April 5. Puzzle box came inside a very durable outer cardboard box. Unless neighborhood finds an issue I’m pleased with it!

    District Photo Postcards
The quality of the cards is so good that I decided to promote them as an art print and sell them one at a time.
This can give you an 80% profit margin because 5×7 prints start at $14 to $15 dollars
You will have to change the category on Etsy if you do so.
There is hardly any difference between the smooth finish and the eggshell finish. The eggshell has a very slight texture. Both have a matte finish.
I am promoting them as ready to gift or mail because they include an envelope. The back side is blank.
Production time on this starts at 4 days and it took 4 days. I chose economy shipping because of the cost but received them early. After receiving I realized why the cost is higher as they are extremely well packaged and worth the shipping cost.
They shipped on Jan 28th with a due date of Feb 6th but I got them on Jan 31st. Super-fast.
The mailer had my shop name on it and my address which is how I want it.
I hope that anyone deciding to sell these, sells these as a print so we are all on the same page and we don’t undercut each other, and make a really good profit margin.
I am enclosing pics of how I am marketing them in a frame.

So, I got my first product sample, and learned a few things, have some feedback, but also some concerns.
This is the 15 oz color accent mug by district photo
    1. Design
    – Clearly I need arrange my designs so they aren’t falling off the side. It looks worse than I had expected from the mockup, but not different enough that I think it’s a printer error.
    – What might be a printer error is these little black ink smudges in between two elements at the bottom. I double checked my art file, and its not there on the drawing.
    – The small print area is frustrating to me, because to center a design or text on the “front” (when the mug is held) it has to be pretty small, and that leaves a lot of empty space. Is there a different product with a more fully wrap-around print area?
    2. Shipping
    – Shipping was pretty slow. It took one day longer than the max estimated time frame, but I did pick the cheaper option. It makes me question if I should raise prices and offer free shipping, because it feels wrong to pay for slow shipping in an Amazon prime world.
-I was very concerned how it was packed. It was in two styrofoam pieces taped together. The Styrofoam had a cut out at the bottom where the mug was open to the air and could be damaged if something small tapped it. If it had also had something in the hole, like paper, and placed in a small box it would have been great packaging without substantially increasing the weight.
-Is this shipping style the same for other mugs from other printers? Is it the “economy” shipping?
Currently, the cost to a customer would be about $21 (cost and shipping together). If I had been a customer and paid that, I would have been quite disappointed (but also I’m stingy and poor and wouldn’t spend $21 on a mug anyway,
. Maybe I think that’s more expensive than it really is?)

15 oz mug Generic Brand by District Photo.
It was delivered very quickly and the print was really good. I’m not sure that I love the packaging. Styrofoam with a giant opening and zero packing materials. The mug had drips of water on it due to the fact that it’s been raining here and it was exposed to the elements.
There’s also a QR code sticker on the bottom that takes you to a Donaldson Air Dryer cartridge link. Not too sure what that’s all about. The sticker did not come off easily and I had to use Goo Gone to remove it.
Will customers be turned off by this? We’ll see…..

District Photo hardcover journal arrived today as I am thrilled with the packaging! The journal could not move at all preventing damage to the corners and spine. Additionally, thin plastic wrap covered the journal.
When I started selling District Photo journals in 2023 this was how the journals were packaged. Unfortunately District Photo then switched to yellow poly mailers which are too big and do not provide enough padding when a customer only orders one or two journals (my previous posts will explain the issues)….so I am keeping my fingers crossed the poly mailers are gone! lol

We offered calendar’s through a different print provider last year. Part of this review will touch on the differences of last year’s version compared to our current offering.
This is the 14” by 11.5” glossy calendar by District Photo.
First things first the packaging features our store name which is always a great start. The packaging is also sturdy with bubble wrap keeping the calendar secure.
Shipping was good. Ordered on 12/19/24 and was delivered on 12/27/24. It is likely it would have arrived sooner if Christmas didn’t land right in the middle of its transit time. Came via USPS.
Quality was impressive. It is much larger than the calendar we offered last year which we didn’t realize until seeing the sample. The picture parts of the calendar are glossy and the calendar part is matte to allow for easy writing. The colors are vibrant and the whole thing feels secure and premium. We are very happy with this calendar, the perceived value to us is very high which may have us considering of raising our price to show its quality.

This review is for Printify’s Generic Brand 15 oz ceramic mug produced by District Photo:
    Ordered 12/14/24
    Produced 12/16/24
    Shipped 12/16/24 (USPS)

The mug was shipped in a wrap-around styrofoam container that provided great protection. It was well labeled and there was no damage during shipment.
The mug design was printed in colors that match those submitted and were clear and in sharp focus.
Based on this sample, I feel confident that my customers for this mug will receive a quality product.

    Softcover Journal with Inside Prints
At first I had some major issues with my orders—both the original and reprints were missing the inner printed pages.
After several attempts, I finally got great help from Printify’s customer service, especially from August B. She took my case seriously, collected video evidence from customers, and pushed for a quality check.
Finally, the journals came out perfect with all the inner prints! Super happy with the final result, and the journals are now gorgeous and super useful!

Product: Arctic Fleece Blanket (One-sided print) 50×60″
    Print Provider: District Photo
    Ordered: Sept 6
    Produced: Sept 9
    Delivered: Sept 16th
Absolutely impressed with this blanket! I designed it as a gift for my best friend that is pregnant with twins! She absolutely loves it, and it’s HUGE! Bigger than the table on all ends so probably not the best photo for a review but hey we’re happy!
Shipping – it sat at the local USPS for 3 days, so at no fault of the provider. Ten days isn’t bad anyways!
    Happy for sure

Overall, I’m very happy with the printing quality of this 5” x 5” car magnet by District Photo. Although the printing isn’t super crisp, it’s still clear enough for a magnet viewed at a distance. You can’t tell from the images, but the black background is a nice jet black, and the overall print has a slight grainy texture. The magnet feels hefty, but I haven’t placed it on my car yet, so I don’t know if it’ll fly off at 75 mph on the freeway. My only gripe is the fold line across the magnet. There was no hard fold line across the pretty green packaging envelope, so it was probably created during production . I will contact support. Oh, and the delivery felt like it took forever. I wonder if this was a one-off, as I’m sure it only took about a week for someone else?

Microfiber Tea Towel by District Photo
    Ordered 7/20
    Shipped 7/23
    Delivered 7/26
I like this towel after it’s been washed a few times. It definitely needs to be broken in a bit. I love the weave. I used it to clean my windows, and it didn’t leave any streaks or lint. The print was good. The darker blue was a bit off from my design, but not enough to bother me. The tag says “made in China” and “printed in the USA.” The shipping label showed coming from my address in a poly pack. My only “complaint” is that I wish it came in a smaller size.

Got it in the mail today and all around 5s for shipping, quality, price and potential profitability!
Ordered on 8/6, produced 8/7, shipped 8/7, delivered 8/12. Came in a cute green patterned paper envelope, the magnet inside was in a clear ziploc type bag.
    I ordered the 7.5”x4.5” size.
Great size and a quality feel – it’s pretty thick so feels like a high quality product. Printing is crisp and colors are true. I printed it as a mobile ad for my own car, advertising my own shop and the QR code directs correctly.
It attaches securely to the car and other metal surfaces – a firm attachment. I’ll offer these in my shop as the price including shipping is only about $7.

Canvas lunch bag with strap from District Photo.
Ordered Saturday 3/2, received Sunday 3/10.
Nice heavy oatmeal cotton canvas material and sturdy brown strap. So much larger than it appears in photos. It could easily hold an ice pack or two as well as a sandwich, drink, apple, and more. Easy hook and loop closure really keeps food secure because you have to roll it down to fasten.
Print quality is 10 out of 10. Crisp, fully absorbed into the fabric, bright beautiful color.
Comes in a pretty generic poly mailer, but that does the job.
The only thing that I found a little disappointing is that it’s a bit floppy. That said, it is in no way cheap or flimsy feeling.
Overall, I’m really happy with these.
